Remembering ‘Chespirito’ on anniversary of his death

Roberto Gómez Bolaños, an iconic Mexican comedian, popularly known as “Chespirito”, died on November, 2014, at the age of 85. Gómez wrote and was the main character in the television series “El Chavo del Ocho” that became an iconic show for millions of Latin American children. He paved a way for a new style of comedy, being inspired by Laurel, Hardy, and Cantinflas.

His two most famous characters were “El Chavo del Ocho,” and “El Chapulin Colorado,” or “The Crimson Grasshopper.”
